Joe Herbert
Chartered Physiotherapist
Joe’s passion for physiotherapy began after sustaining a knee injury as a teenager playing football. This experience introduced him to the world of private physiotherapy and sparked a career in helping others recover, perform and thrive.
He first studied Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University before qualifying as a physiotherapist at Manchester Metropolitan University with First Class Honours in 2023. Since then, Joe has gained valuable experience both in the UK and internationally. He began his career in the NHS with Merseycare, working in the community and gaining a strong understanding of the difficulties people face when recovering in their own homes, particularly in relation to falls prevention and elderly care.
Joe then spent time in Perth, Australia, first as a rehab consultant managing return to work programs and later in a busy MSK private clinic. There he developed his hands-on skills in manual therapy, massage, taping, dry needling and functional rehab. He treated a wide range of injuries and ran both group rehab and strength and balance classes for older adults.
Joe takes pride in his tailored, exercise-led approach to treatment, supported by his personal training background and strong understanding of biomechanics. His sporting experience, including playing semi-professional football and completing marathons, gives him particular insight into managing and preventing sports-related injuries.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll most likely find Joe out running, keeping active or planning his next travel adventure.
